Reflexology

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a Complementary Therapy that works on the feet or hands enabling the body to heal itself.

A Reflexologist uses hands only to apply pressure to the feet. For each person the application and the effect of the therapy are unique. Sensitive, trained hands can detect tiny deposits and imbalances in the feet. Professional manipulation of reflexes releases congestion in the corresponding parts of the body, which allows the body to then heal itself and return to good working order.
It is a gentle art, a fascinating science, and an extremely effective form of treatment.

In today's stress-filled society, there is a tendency to speed through life as if there is no tomorrow. But the demands of the high-speed 20th century techno-generation are taking their toll on the intricate human body.
Many people teeter on the edge of ill health in a state of disease and imbalance and find it difficult to cope with the stresses and strains of modern life.

The goal of reflexology is to trigger the return to homeostasis - a state of equilibrium and balance.
The most important step to achieving this is to reduce tension and induce relaxation. When the body is relaxed, circulatory flow is unimpeded and nutrients and oxygen can be supplied to the cells allowing the body’s organs to return to their natural state and function efficiently and effectively.

This form of therapy is useful in treating ill health but should ideally be used to maintain health and prevent illness.

After Treatments

  • Most people feel an incredible surge of energy and vitality; others experience the effects of the body emitting toxins and may temporary feel worse as a result of the body healing its self.

  • To ease the therapeutic discomfort  - it is advisable to drink lots of water

Miracles cannot be expected after one treatment (although they have occurred) but there are noticeable rewards after treatment.

It is advisable to talk to me with regard to your individual needs.
